How To Make Apple Cider Vinegar Facial Toner

Apple cider vinegar facial toner made from raw apple cider vinegar is great for all skin types. It can:

Dissolves dead skin cells – because apple cider vinegar is rich in natural alpha hydroxy acids, it will remove dead skin and reveal healthy and vibrant new skin.

Regulates the skin to its proper pH – while removing oil from your skin, apple cider vinegar also helps to balance pH and keeps your skin from becoming too oily or too dry by balancing the production of sebum.

Improves acne and acne scars – when apple cider vinegar is made, malic acid forms. It has antiseptic and antibacterial properties which helps protect skin from harmful bacteria and pollution.

Using apple cider vinegar as a toner, unclogs skin pores and allows your skin to breathe properly, so it is very effective in treating acne and improving acne scars. It also reduces appearance of pores.

Helps lighten sun and age spots and reduces wrinkles

Apple cider vinegar facial toner is great for removing excess oils and make up that may have been left behind after performing natural techniques like the oil cleansing method for cleansing skin.

Which Brand Of Apple Cider Vinegar To Buy

Not all apple cider vinegars are created equal. The best is the organic, raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar with the “mother,” available at most health stores.

I use Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. It is made from fresh, crushed apples which are than allowed to mature naturally in wooden barrels, as wood seems to “boost” the natural fermentation. It is loaded with vitamins, minerals and rich in potassium.

Natural ACV should be a rich, brownish color and if held to the light you might see a tiny formation of “cobweb-like” substances called the miracle “mother”. Usually some “mother” shows at bottom of bottles as it ages more.

How To Make Apple Cider Vinegar Facial Toner

Ingredients:

Organic raw apple cider vinegar
Distilled or filtered water

Don’t put apple cider vinegar full strength directly on your skin – it can burn. Use a diluted mixture of water and apple cider vinegar. Be sure to try the solution on your hand before putting on your face.

Ratios:

For sensitive skin (or if you’re just starting to use toner): Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar with 4 parts water

For normal/dry skin: Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar with 2 parts water

For oily skin: Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar with 1 part water

Note: One “part” is any measurement you chose to use. So, if you’re following the sensitive skin ratio, you’ll mix 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar with 4 tbsp water.

Directions:

Pour organic raw apple cider vinegar into a glass bottle or a glass jar.

Add distilled or filtered water.

Shake the bottle to combine the mixture.

To Use:

Apply it to skin using a cotton ball or pad, avoiding the eye area. Some people prefer to pour it into a small spray bottle and spritz it on, that works too.

Allow the apple cider vinegar toner to dry, then follow with a moisturizer.

Shake well before each use. Store in a cool, dry, dark place. No need to refrigerate.

For best results, apply this homemade apple cider vinegar toner twice a day, as part of your normal skin care routine. You’ll be amazed how quickly you see results and how rejuvenated your skin feels.

Note: Do not make the apple cider vinegar tonic in large amounts, because it will not be that effective when the vinegar evaporates.
