Onion Juice For Hair Loss

Onion Juice For Hair Loss

Onion juice is a wonderful remedy to use if you are experiencing hair loss or hair fall, thinning hair, or want to grow long hair.

Onion juice has been traditionally used to address hair loss. The sulfur and other compounds found in onions are believed to stimulate hair growth and improve hair strength.

Additionally, onion juice has antibacterial properties, which can help to prevent scalp infections that can contribute to hair loss.

There is some scientific evidence to support the use of onion juice for hair loss. For example, a study published in the Journal of Dermatology found that applying onion juice to the scalp twice a day for six weeks improved hair growth in people with alopecia areata, a type of hair loss that causes patchy bald spots. Onion Juice Benefits For Hair Health:

Promotes hair growth

Onion juice is rich in sulfur, which is essential for the production of collagen. Collagen helps in the production of healthy hair cells, which in turn promotes hair growth.

Improves scalp health

Onion juice has antimicrobial properties that can help fight scalp infections and dandruff. Applying onion juice to the scalp can also improve blood circulation, which is important for healthy hair growth.

Strengthens hair

Onion juice contains antioxidants that help to neutralize free radicals, which can cause damage to hair cells. It also contains keratin, a protein that makes up hair, which helps to strengthen and nourish hair.

How To Use Onion Juice For Hair

  1. Peel and chop one onion, and blend it in a blender to extract the juice.
  2. Strain it through a nut milk bag to extract the juice.
  3. Apply the juice directly to the scalp and hair, using a squeeze  bottle for easy application and massage gently.
  4. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave the juice on for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. Rinse your hair thoroughly with water and shampoo.

You can repeat this process once or twice a week for best results. However, it’s important to note that onion juice may have a strong smell, and some people may experience skin irritation or allergic reactions. It’s always a good idea to do a patch test before using onion juice on your scalp.

If you use an Apple Cider Vinegar rinse it will help get rid of the onion smell. I use 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar per 1 cup of water.

Onion syrup is also a reliable and natural remedy for colds, cough and boosting immunity. It helps treat tonsillitis, pharyngitis and laryngitis, as well as sinusitis.
